The focus of our 6-12 Program is on social and life skills. For children over the age of 6, we offer a combination of behaviour intervention session, groups and consultative occupational therapy services.
Our 1:1 sessions take place at our NONA Clubhouse where they work towards individualized goals.
A little about our Lifeskills Group . . .
Groups are offered to enhance individual skills of youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The goal of our groups is to provide intervention and learning opportunities facilitating the creation of friendships and preparing for the challenges of the up and coming teen years. Topics may include bullying, personal hygiene, social thinking, maintaining friendships, and household responsibilities.
This group is provided in consultation with an Occupational Therapist and may include peers from other groups in the community as well.
