Permanent 1.0 FTE Speech-Language Pathologist

We are looking for a Permanent 1.0 FTE Speech-Language Pathologist to begin in the fall of 2017. This staff member works under the direction of the Therapy Program Supervisor and as part of a multidisciplinary team serving preschool-aged children with special needs. A Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and eligibility for certification/registration with S.A.C., RASP, and CSHHPBC is required. Pediatric experience is an asset. Salary and benefits are competitive as per the Health Science Professionals Bargaining Agreement.

Vernon is located at the north end of the sunny Okanagan valley. NONA has maintained CARF Accreditation since July 2004, and operates out of a custom-designed facility. We have recently completed a second facility to house our growing Autism Services Program.

AUTISM SERVICES PROGRAM:  Casual Behaviour Interventionist

To work with preschool and school age children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. To assist the child to learn and complete activities by following the individual plan as determined and directed by a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum qualifications for this position are a high school diploma plus experience working with children. (Experience with children with ASD and related disorders would be preferred.)

This position requires travel within Vernon and district. All candidates must have a valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
